Hi Wooshin, From the log of kernel, the Wellang is initialized and unmuted. I think you may need to check the A113X console message and also have Lonnie's help to check if I2S data before/after A113X is normal or not. |

Hi, River, Do you have any update for this issue? When the "No Sound" Issue happened, the sound plays when I change the audio output option(Btv <-> External Device) without reboot device. I'm not sure it is helpful to figure out this issue but please check this issue with above information. |

Hi Wooshin, In the code that has this bug, there are two situations: Boot up with audio case: The Wellang driver is muted by default because it needs to avoid pop noise at booting. And there is a flag status to save this status but the status is wrong by default. And then in Audio HAL initializes, it will write a Wellang driver node to unmute Wellang. But Wellang driver is still waiting for boot-complete, so it just change the flag to unmute (This change the wrong status to right status). So, after Wellang driver receives boot-complete, it will check the flag and then unmute Wellang amplifier. (In boot-complete, we do not force unmute Wellang amplifier because it may be muted by passthrough mode. So, the flag is to keep the status whether Wellang should be muted or not.) Boot with no audio case: Wellang driver is muted by default with a wrong flag status. And then Audio HAL initializes, it can not write to a driver node because Wellang driver initialization is delay by checking A113X ready. So, the flag still keep in wrong status. After Wellang driver received boot-complete, it will check the wrong flag and then do not unmute Wellang amplifier. How we fix it: 1.We change the flag to right default status. 2.To avoid Wellang driver being late to be initialized, we now do not check the A113X ready in Wellang driver. Because Wellang amplifier now is feeded I2S clock by VS-550 instead of A113X. It is no need to check the A113X ready (Originally, this checking is to meet Wellang boot up signal sequence to make sure the I2S clock is stable.) |
